What is the lens you look through when judging yourself against your peers.  Do you look at your coworker and think he was just handed something and you weren’t and life is so unfair.  Do you look around and think that others that have succeeded for some magic reason and you haven’t because you just didn’t get breaks they did?  Do you use your lack of success as an excuse that you didn’t get a fair shot and they got extra help? Step back and take a good long hard look at yourself and those you compete with and now ask yourself, why they have achieved more that you, why are they more successful that you are?  Did you stay later, work harder, work smarter than you did?  When you left early last Friday, did you notice that your rival stayed late that night and worked all weekend.  If someone won the starting job on your team, did the coach just like him more or was he working hard putting in extra hard work while you were watching TV?  Did you outwork everyone else?

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
