So today is Friday and I am in St Louis at Bellator MMA Dynamite 2 at the Scottrade Center.

Covering different sports there is one thing that is common amongst great athletes that succeed, and that is the ability to overcome fear.   If it was Tiger standing over a putt, The Great One on a Breakaway, Ali stepping into the ring, MJ Shooting with the game on the line or the Great Jeter standing in the box in the bottom of the 9th with the count 3-2 with two outs and the bases loaded, some kind of fear has to at least creep into everyone’s mind not matter how great they are.  Those who achieve aren’t void of fear they know how to accept and handle the situation no matter what.  If you are afraid of looking bad you are trying not to lose not trying to win.  If you are afraid of the outcome before you swing the bat you have already lost.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
